to set the tone to this very self-serving page, this web site is designed
to assist you with YOUR real estate needs. It was designed to gave you the
resources to find out about Real Estate in the North West
"Panhandle" of Florida. The resources are also made available to
you to gather germane information about S.E. Alabama, specifically S.E.
Baldwin (Gulf Coast) County. This is my major market area. To my
knowledge, this web site the areas most comprehensive.
Ono Island Real Estate - Richard J. Wittig Sr., broker and owner of Gulf Beach Realty
Inc., was born in 1943 amidst the Second World War.
Richard entered the Navy in July 1960 when he was just 17 as an enlisted
Seaman Apprentice: He married Judith A. who was his high school sweetheart
for two years the first full year he was in the Navy. Judy and Rich had
their first of two sons Richard Jr. at the Key West Naval Hospital in Key
West Florida. Rich rose in rank as fast as was legally possible. He
departed the Navy in 3 years as a Radioman 2nd class (E-5).
The time is about 1965 and Rich finds that a college degree is necessary
to advance in most industrial companies in the Mid-West United States. He
starts the long road to obtaining his degree by working full time during
the day (44+ hrs per week) and attending night classes 4 nights a week.
His Degrees start with an Associate Science (highest honors 1971, (Rich
then attends College Full time) B.A. 1972, Elected to the National Honors
Society - Business 1974, MBA (Finance) 1974 Summa Cum Laude (Highest
Distinction).
The last Company Rich owned was a Washington DC consulting, sales Agency,
and "Registered
Lobbyists" called Defense
Products Marketing Inc. (DPM Inc.) At DPM he was the President
CEO for the Corporation. The Company provided Sales and Marketing
Assistance WORLD WIDE to firms such as Blue Bird Bus Co., Detroit Diesel
Corp., Cummins Engine Inc., Ford Motor Heavy Truck Div., General Dynamics
Land Systems Div., Oshkosh Truck Corp. and many others. Rich Travels
World-Wide in assistance to his clients.
During this time period Rich maintained and increased his knowledge of the
sea by attending night schools 2 nights at the University of Maryland,
College Campus in In-Shore Piloting, Off-Shore Piloting, Celestial
Navigation, Advanced Celestial Navigation and many others. Rich received
his first Masters Certificate (Captain) about 1978 and currently maintains
his "Ticket" to this day. Rich and Judy have owned their 43'
Sloop "Shazam" since about 1979 and have lived and worked on
their boat in Central America, Caribbean (West and East), Mexico, Great
lakes, Intercoastal Waterways both East Coast and Gulf Coast including the
full Mississippi River to New Orleans. Rich and Judy lived on their boat
for two years while cruising the Caribbean and another hitch for about a
year. Their boat is currently moored in Boot Key Harbor, Marathon
Florida.
Rich and his family have lived and worked here in Pensacola Florida since
1990 and has owned and operated a Single Family Residential Rental
Business since that time. He opened his first Real Estate Brokerage
Corporation the end of 2003 with Gulf Beach Realty Inc. with Rich as Owner
Broker.
